For those who are not familiar with Camp American Legion, it is a place where qualified Wisconsin veterans, active duty service members and their families can stay at no cost.  The mission of the Camp is to provide rest and recuperation for those who have a physical or psychological medical condition, including all types of service and non-service related illnesses, injuries or disability; including Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Blast Injuries and Combat Operational Stress.  Camp is also a place for family reintegration and support following an active-duty service member's deployment.  Families and children are welcome, as the Camp’s goal is to help families get back together, reconnect and bond.  Camp will help the whole family heal.  Camp also welcomes survivor families of the fallen, to assist them with their grief, remembrance and healing. Camp American Legion is 263 miles north of Mukwonago, or a 4 hour drive, and is located in Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin.  This year, Camp American Legion will open on Monday, May 7th.

Mukwonago Post 375 sponsors a cabin at Camp American Legion.  Every year, our Post, Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion members and their families, volunteer their time and donate supplies to Camp American Legion.

This year, our volunteers will be travelling to Camp American Legion on Saturday, April 28th, 2018.

We will transport donated supplies, prepare our cabin for this year’s guests and assist the Camp with any other tasks that the Camp needs help with.

This year’s Camp American Legion Schedule can be found at Camp’s new website:  https://www.campamericanlegion.org/
